Aaranya Kaandam : A raw product.

Produced by S.P.B charan's Capital Film Works and directed by debutant director Thiagarajan Kumararaja starring Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, and Yasmin Ponnap,the film is  heaping laurels from all parts of the world.Earlier the movie was in the lime light for its record 52 cuts by the censor board and it was later legally handled by the producers of the film.Now that all issues have been sorted the movie is slatted for a grand release in U.S.A on June 10th.
The film has been in the making for the past three years and it was filmed in many prestigious film festivals like the South Asian International Film Festival and it also won the Grand Jury award.The movie has also been nominated for Melbourne and Sydney Film Festivals.The word is that the movie has been shoot in such a raw manner which makes it so unique and special.It is to be noted that the films IMDB rating is 7.1/10 even before its proper release. Well film buffs a just longing to get a taste of this raw product.

Mangatha - A Cop and Thief tale.

The shoot of Ultemate Star Ajith's 50th film Mangatha is over and the film is in the pre-production stages.Producer Dhayanithi Alagiri is making all arrangements for a grand audio release later this month and the film is slated for a July release.Thala fans across the state are eagerly awaiting the release of this film and here is a small slice on the plot of the film.Sources close to the director have said that Ajith plays a hot shot gambler in the city and Arjun plays the role of a cop and interesting chase sequences between the two forms the crux of the plot which has been shot in a stylish and racy manner.Looks like the movie would be a run away hit this summer as the vibe around the crew is so positive.

Shankar : Only few minor changes...

Here is the latest on Shankar directed Nanban which is a Tamil remake of blockbuster 3 Idiots.  Director Shankar was recently at an event held in Chennai and when few of the reporters asked him if "Nanban" would be scripted in his own style based on the original, this is what the director had to say: "Nanban will have only few minor changes to suit the regional audience and apart from that it would do justice to the original script".Further the directors said that almost 70% of the shoot is over and the makers are planning for a diwali release.The crew is currently in Chennai after canning shots in Ooty,Europe and Coimbatore.Nanban is one of the most expected films of the year,starring Illayathalapathy Vijay in the lead role ,it also has Jeeva,Shrikanth,Sathyaraj in important roles while Illeana plays the female lead.
